The History of the Mary’s Gardens Apostolate and Its Continuation with Native Plants in the Age of Laudato Si’

Elizabeth Groppe, a professor in the Department of Religious Studies and the recipient of the 2024 Marian Resident Scholar Fellowship, will present along with the Marianist Environmental Education Center.

What’s inside the 105 boxes of the Marian Library’s John Stokes and Mary’s Gardens Collection? Join us to learn about the history of Stokes’ Mary’s Gardens apostolate and the Marianist Environmental Education Center’s renewal of this tradition in a manner that creates a native habitat for our sister and brother creatures. The program will open with prayer and conclude with gifts from MEEC to share.
